To avoid arousing any suspicion in sweetfish(ayu), the lure is designed to maintain a horizontal posture. Its underwater action isn’t based on frantic, aggressive movements; instead, it mimics an sweetfish(ayu) gently drifting with the current. The leader attachment is positioned near the adipose fin, allowing for the use of anchor hooks on long leaders or larger hooks—making it possible to catch even the more elusive sweetfish(ayu).

Since this style of fishing targets ayu that crawl along the riverbed, a robust lip is crucial. Therefore, unlike conventional lures, this model employs a damage-resistant resin lip that not only offers superior strength but also produces less noise when contacting rocks. Additionally, the yellow lip enhances visibility, allowing anglers to easily track the lure’s position and accurately aim at their chosen spot.
